Rules of the Contest

TEAMS

  • Teams need to be approved by School Administrator.
  • Teams must be formed by 10/14/19 at 11:59 p.m.
  • Teams are composed of 1 to 4 students.
  • Team members may be from different grades.
  • Prizes will be divided among the students on the winning teams at their discretion.
  • Students MUST be registered under only one team.

 

THE VIDEO (GENERAL)

  • Teams can only enter 1 video in the contest.
  • Videos must be submitted by 11/11/19 at 11:59PM PDT to qualify.
  • Videos should not include any copyrighted music.

 

THE VIDEO (FORMAT)

  • The video must be 60 seconds or less.
  • The minimum format resolution is 1280*1080.
  • The file format must be .mov (mp4).

 

THE VIDEO (CONTENT GUIDELINES)

  • The video must feature one of the BBB services described in the contest theme.
  • The target audience for this video is 15-25 years old.
  • The featured BBB service needs to be explained so that it can be understood by someone who is not familiar with the service or with BBB.
  • The video must contain a call to action to visit our website, such as “Go report a scam today at bbb.org/scamtracker/silicon-valley”.
  • The video needs to feature the BBB logo and respect our Brand Guidelines.

 

JUDGING CRITERIA FOR PHASE 1

All qualifying videos must meet the rules of the contest.
Grading:
  • Production Quality: 30%
  • Creativity of Message: 20%
  • Marketing / Votes: 20%
  • Representation of BBB’s chosen service and Theme: 30%

  • Production Quality & Creativity of Message: 35%
  • Marketing / Votes: 20%
  • Representation of BBB’s chosen service and Theme: 20%
  • Presentation: 25%
